Tonight is result night on American Idol. Ryan is going announce on who is going to advance into Top 8. One out of nine is going home tonight. Nicki Minaj and Scott McCreery are going perform tonight.
Ryan announced that Aerosmith is going tour on June 16, 2012. The Global Warming Tour is going started in Minneapolis and ended on August 8, 2012 at Tacoma, Washington.

Jimmy said that Elise took charge on stage. He said that Elise is following to same foot steps like Stevie Nicks and Anna Lennox. Jimmy called Phillip's performance flawless. Jimmy said that Hollie lack experience. He said that Jessica has more soul than Hollie.

Ryan announced Colton, Joshua, and Heejun to center stage.
Jimmy's Commentary
Jimmy said that Colton fell apart in the performance. He said that there is eight people in this competition. Jimmy said that joshua has so much talent but delivered eighty percent of the song. Jimmy said Steven was right for giving Heejun tough love but it wasn't enough. He said the math doesn't add up with Heejun. He doesn't sing better than other singers in the competition.

Scott McCreery sang 'Water Tower Town" from Clear As Day. The judges gave standing ovation to Scott McCreery. Jimmy Lovine present Scotty with his platinum record.

Jimmy's Commentary
Jimmy want more believe songs from Skylar than character songs. He said that she is going to be in the middle of the pack. Skylar showed more experience in the Madonna medley that she command the song. He said that he is going to be in the middle with DeAndre. He is not go crazy with him or disliking him. He noticed something miss with DeAndre that is more experience. Jimmy said that Jessica has a lot experience for a sixteen. He noticed that Jessica lost herself in the song but kept her composure.
